The main activities of Prabhavi Resources Center (PRC) are improving the youth Information and Communication Technology (ICT) English education, introduction of novel technology for productive agriculture, Agriculture services and products processing, environmental conservation activities, higher and vocational education promotion, facilitation to the human right protection and community health development.
PRC was initiated at Weranketagoda; a village situated 300 km away from the capital Colombo in far Eastern coast of Sri Lanka. PRC started its initial establishment, Prabhavi Public Library, in year 2003 with door-to-door fund raising and generating funds by cultural shows, street drama. Although the official inauguration was held on March 2004, the library operated for years anonymously.
